give me some feedback on how helpful it's been to you, especially if you are a potential Holiday Home Exchanger.

I've tried to make this site as useful to you as possible, with links to Tourist Info, Maps, Places to visit and pictures of our house etc.  However, if there is anything else you'd like to see, things you don't like, just let me know. Many thanks.

Hey!!!  We also featured in the June 2006 HomeExchange.com Newsletter in the

"Meet the Member " section as a result of the owners being impressed by this website we'd built to support our exchange activities.

We have been into Holiday Home Exchanging now for over 7 years and have completed 14 swaps.  And they've all been fantastic!! We've stayed in some wonderful places and met some lovely people, I don't think we will holiday any other way now.

One swap to Whistler went wrong after September 11th (we went ahead with the trip and had 7 days of fantastic skiing over Xmas and then 4 more days in Vancouver for New Year finding local accommodation), but that didn't put us off!!
In 1997 we built our own house.  We designed it from scratch and then added a massive family room (with pool table etc) and later added a Hot Tub.

Would we do it again?  Hell yes, but I'm not sure if we'll ever move from the Cotswolds.  It so beautiful with lots to do close by - why would we want to move?

Below is a brief outline of who we are and what we get up to, just so you can feel you know us!!  We've usually managed to meet up with the people we exchange with.  That's another of the joys of Home Exchange, you end up with friends all over the world!

I'm Rob. Born Sept 1960 near Ironbridge, Shropshire. I later moved to Oswestry before I started work for Barclays Bank in1978. I moved all over the country (6 houses!). Married a wonderful woman called Nadine in 1992 in Lichfield, before moving to Gloucestershire in 1996, where we built Mulberry House.

I have a business called Custom Consulting, including running the local office of a global organisation known as WSI (see link at bottomof this page).  I'm also a Managing Consultant in the financial services practice for PIPC  based in London.  I love following my boys sporting conquests in Rugby (previously football too) Cricket, Judo and occasionally golf.  I'm so proud of them and Nadine who is the best wife and mother a man could want.

I left Cathays High (Cardiff) in 1984, worked in the accounts office for Dewhurst a major employer in South Wales and left to join TSB in '85.

I progressed to reach a managerial position in credit policy for the head office division in Birmingham, before leaving when Lloyds merged in '96.

So I did have a career before giving up to become a full time housewife and superstar!!  Having spent 2 years as PTA chair, I moved on to the board of Governors.  As a side line I also did a bit as a canteen assistant when they needed it, as well as acting as a mid-day support person in the special needs unit. However, I got most enjoyment out of running the after school sports clubs for 3 years.

Hi, I’m Stephen, born 12th February 1994 (so I'm the same age as my brother for 2 days a year!!).

I enjoy sport, computer games and wildlife. I play many sports such as Rugby , Tennis, Badminton and Golf.

I love going to Slimbridge Wildlife and Wetlands trust which is luckily just up the road from us. I also spend a lot of my time on the computer playing MMORPG’s (strategy games.)

Devising new schemes to make a little spending money for myself is also a hobby of sorts.

I’m Simon, born 14th Feb. 93. I am now a sport and music loving teenager. Huge rugby fan, play for my local side Dursley RFC. Any sport, I’m there. I enjoy playing everything from tennis on the local courts to rugby and badminton. I Love most kinds of music, I’m constantly plugged in!

I also enjoy riding my bike when I can. The local woods are great for riding, especially if that’s what your into, or even just walking.

Now in yr 9 at my secondary school, revising and school work will be taking over a little bit in the near future, the SATs. Not yet though!

Here’s a picture of me posing during a family photograph session at Olan Mills. A good picture – 1 in a million.
