The main purpose of this site is to ensure those who have found their way via our 'Home Exchange' site can find out a little bit more about us, our house, the local surroundings, and what we've found out about holiday Home exchanging since we started in 1999.
Most people who come to exchanging for the first time say "oh I'm not sure about having other people in our house - what if things get broken? what about insurance? there is so much to think about!!".
All very valid concerns, that only really start to become 'small problems' as you start to discuss with those who have done it before.

Ok you might think that's a wild claim, but it certainly changed ours and many of the people we've told.
Home exchange, and the HomeExchange.com website play a prominent role in the soon to be blockbuster "The Holiday" from writer/director Nancy Meyers.
"The Holiday" is a romantic comedy starring Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet who use home exchange to change their lives as they trade homes between Los Angeles and England. The film also stars Jack Black, Jude Law, Ed Burns, and Eli Wallach.
The movie is sure to be a hit, and we are excited to be the working with Sony and Universal to promote it.
